The AI Marketplace

The AI marketplace is concerned with the question of whether engineering IT standards are usable for a AI.

Are your #engineering #IT standards AI-ready? Yes? No? No idea? 🤔

If you want to work in an #AI-supported way, you have to prepare #data in a usable way. If this is not guaranteed, the application of artificial intelligence remains a pipe dream.

The AI marketplace deals with this very question along the product development process. The whole thing is visualized by the V-model - a very exciting graphic that I even helped to develop in part.

In this process, you stumble across a multitude of different formats that you have to use depending on the necessary tools.

While each step in the process has its own individual, subject-specific challenges, there are two that can be posed across the board.

1️⃣ 👉 How can I preserve my resulting data when converting between the formats of the individual phases and take it to the next phase in the best possible way?

2️⃣ 👉 How can each individual process step represented in the V-Modell be further optimized?

While we take care of the first case with clous, the AI marketplace is doing important preliminary work so that challenge #2 can be addressed with even better AI support soon.

They are looking at the extent to which the standard formats used are already ready to learn AI. This works well for some, less so for others, because there is a disproportionate amount of effort behind it. Among other things, because at the time of the development of such formats up to 50 years ago, a possible fit for AI was naturally not an issue.

In any case, it's worth taking a look at the white paper. You can find the whitepaper here 👉 https://bit.ly/3IXt2NB

For me personally, the most important takeaways looking ahead are the following:

➡️ Complexity management: a huge transformation is taking place here overall. Not only is complexity already immense in the company itself due to a huge tool landscape. There is also an increasingly frequent (necessary) exchange of information with other companies. A cautious approach must be taken here.

➡️ Unused efficiency gains: There is still an enormous amount of unused potential in many places, just in terms of automation, which must be exploited. This also applies to the transitions between the individual phases of the V-Modell. Because this also helps to master complexity.
